It is hallmarked London 1905 and has the silversmith's stamp "J. H", for Jonathan Howell, a firm famous for walking cane and whip making. . The whip was used, there are a few dents and dings on the "heel" of the handle, please look at the images. The stock or shaft is made of golden brown malacca cane. It has a replacement stitched keeper with a slot for the attachment
