It is cast in a silver coloured metal (probably Alpacca or a similar alloy). It comes from Latin America. The arch of the stirrup has incised decoration and pivots around the base of the stirrup. The base is foot shaped and has simple decoration around its edge. The toe was functional as well as decorative, it covered the front of the foot, preventing it from slipping through the iron and getting
