There would have been a silver button on the heel of the staghorn but this has been lost. It has two silver collars, these are hallmarked London , the date stamps are rubbed but correspond to the 1930s and both are stamped with the silversmith's mark "ESA". Between the collars the whip has been re covered in dark brown leather. The rest of the shaft or stock is covered in brown braided thread. The whip has a
