Relaxing Badger Size:30 x 45 cm. Because we are so far

Because we are so far north the sun simply doesn’t rise in this period

I  wanted to come back to the Arctic to photograph

As I browse the area with my binoculars I see this lonely reindeer walking among the small hills

We spend many hours with them every single day on the long patrols and these dogs are not just tools to pull the sled – they becomes your friends with each their personality

They always seem so busy in their search for nuts and seeds and they are never satisfied with the amount of nuts they have hidden around in the forest – they always need just one more

Relaxing Badger Size:30 x 45 cm. Because we are so farFrom my hide underneath a huge maple tree I have a great view to the sett which is less than 50 meters from me. I am quiet and try not to move more than possible. The badgers will get the sense of me if I am not carefull. I see them every now and then in short glimpse between the ferns. They are busy searching for food. So busy that they do not take notice of me. One of them looks up while with the eyes half closed. Such a relaxing expression. Frame
