She's wearing a little sailor's hat with what looks like an anchor symbol and possibly the word Champion across the front

that still stands today

Light soiling and age-related handing wear

so maybe it's one of those dated signs

The dag is behind mat and cover glass, but there are light scratches on the images; you can see them in my scan, though in person they don't seem nearly aren't as noticeable unless you're tilting the image around. 3120
